Psalms 21

Good morning y’all. Today we looking at psalms 21.

Be blessed 🙂

David attributed all of his success and victories to God. He clearly understood that it was Gods strength that brought him the victories. Of his own might, he couldn’t achieve anything. He was also quick to offer praise and thanks back to God for the victories won. In verse 1 and 2 he says:

“How the king rejoices in your strength, O  lord ! He shouts with joy because you give him victory. For you have given him his heart’s desire; you have withheld nothing he requested” (NLT).

Friends, when we look at our lives and all that we have achieved, are we quick in giving the glory back to God for all He has done or do we take the glory for ourselves?

We need to understand like David did, that all we are, own and have achieved is only by God’s strength at work in us. Zechariah 4:6 says: “…Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts”.

Even the great Apostle Paul said in 1 corinthians 15:10 “But by God’s grace I am what I am,…. although it was not really my own doing, but God’s grace working with me” (GNB).

Don’t let us get too proud by thinking all we have achieved is by our own strength.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 says:
“This is what the lord says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the lord , have spoken!” (NLT)

Friends, let’s give all the praise and thanks back to God,  for He alone deserves it. And it’s truly by his mercies that we are not yet consumed.

Prayer:
Dear Lord we thank you for today. With a heart of gratitude we come before you, thanking you for all you have done for us. We do not take the glory but give it all back to you. Let it be acceptable in your sight oh Lord.  Pls help us to continually have a heart of gratitude and thankfulness. Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen

Thank you for joining today

Have a glorious day praising and thanking God 🙂
