Can anything drive a wedge between us and God’s love for us?

Good morning y’all. Compliments of the season :). Trust we all had a fab Christmas celebration. I pray the joy and blessings of this season will be ours now and always In Jesus Name. Amen

Today’s blog has been long due. Infact I got the word on Christmas eve and I have been procrastinating about posting the blog ever since (***covering my eyes***). I’ve been carried away by all the Christmas activities and food :(. Thank God for grace and second chances, I am now blogging the message. Interestingly, my Pastor preached similar message on sunday :).

During my quiet time on Christmas eve, I was led to read Romans 8. Verses 31 to 39 jumped out at me, and that’s what I want to encourage someone with today.

I am reading from the Message version.

“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture: They kill us in cold blood because they hate you. We’re sitting ducks; they pick us off one by one. None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us” (Romans 8:31-39 MSG).

I don’t know about you, but i’m excited about this scripture. Nothing can drive a wedge between us and God’s love or seperate us from God’s love. Not even trouble, not hard times or even our sins…absolutely nothing can separate us. (I’ve got a big smile on my face…:)).

Absolutely nothing can separate you from Gods love. His love for you is so deep, so wide, it’s unfathomable. Trust him today. Don’t run from him. Don’t listen to the one lies from the enemy telling you, that you are not loved or your sins are too much that God can’t forgive you or love you. Isaiah 1:18 says: “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the lord . “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool”. (Isaiah 1:18 NLT)

God is absolutely head over heels in love with you :). Jeremiah 31:3 says: “…I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself”. You are so important to Him, that He sent his only son to die for you. Truth is, even if, it was only you in the world, He would have still sent Jesus for you because thats how much He loves you. Romans 5:8 says: “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners”.

Be encouraged! God is on your side and HE loves you dearly. God is for you, therefore no one can be against you.
Pls, can I crave your indulgence and ask you to repeat these words out loud; GOD IS FOR ME!!!! Let the words settle in your heart today 🙂

As we prep for the new year, please remember that nothing, absolutely nothing that comes your way in 2015 can drive a wedge between you and God’s love for you. Yaaaaaaay!!!

Psalms 22

Good morning y’all. Today we looking at Psalms 22.

Be blessed 🙂

In this psalm David felt abandoned and forsaken by God. His enemies were after him and He needed God to rescue him but it seemed God was far away or on holiday.

“My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help? Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer. Every night I lift my voice, but I find no relief” ( Psalms 22:1-2 NLT)

Friends, perhaps you feel just like David today. You feel abandoned and rejected. I want to encourage you not to give up on God. God has not forgotten you. Infact it is impossible for him to forget you. Delay doesn’t mean denial. Keep the hope alive and keep trusting God. Hold on to the promises he has made concerning you. Keep praising him and he will surely come through for you.

“Praise the lord , all you who fear him! Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob! Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel! For he has not ignored or belittled the suffering of the needy. He has not turned his back on them, but has listened to their cries for help. I will praise you in the great assembly. I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who worship you” (Psalms 22:23-25 NLT).

Keep praising and God will come through for you.

Dear Lord we thank you for today. We pray you will give ears to our request today and come to our rescue. Help us keep praising and trusting you while we wait on you. Strengthen our faith in you. Thank you Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen.
